Once, in a forest not far from my home, beside the badger track along the river, I overheard the Traveling Folk who were making their way from Here to There . . . "The road is long." Said one with voice like a bell. "And where shall we stay?" whispered another. "When the moon sets and our revels are ended, who shall set a pillow for our heads?" chirped a third. Then the first fairy spoke again, "Who can say? For hospitality is often scarce in this new wide world. But where we find a little place made all for us --- with milk by door and hearth, with roof above and floor below, a place woven of branch and set with stone --- then we shall know that we are home." Welcome to The Enchanted World of Fairy Woodland . . . Twig, stone, and sand are introduced to each other and the songs and memories they carry are woven together to create magical dwelling places for Fairy Folk. Each house has a story to tell, a tale that opens the door between the Faerie Realm and the mythic imagination. Wander through the houses, read the tales. Then tuck a Fairy Woodland Fairy House in a special nook in your garden, on a table in your home, or in a pot with miniature plants to create a place where the Fairies know that they are welcome – where they will know that they are home.
